Sowmyan Rajagopalan: Founder & CEO/CTO

Sowmyan founded Thalia Design Automation in 2011. He has been responsible and leading the development of disruptive EDA solutions and methodologies targeting Analog Migration, Analog Derivatives and IP On-Demand on. Sowmyan has been instrumental in the development of unique EDA capability in AMALIA - Analog circuit analysis, porting and derivatives framework.
br> Sowmyan has 12+ years experience in the design and development of Analog IPs, Analog EDA solutions and design methodologies . He championed the development of analog PMIC IP library and developed methodologies to improve the efficiency of the design process. He has developed several EDA solutions and has written several white papers on EDA methodologies at Micrel Inc.
Sowmyan received his M.S in Electrical Engineering specializing in Digital VLSI Design and & B.E in Electronics Engineering. He also has a background in Corporate Finance and Valuation.

Rodger has a global background in high technology in both small and large companies. For the last 3 years he has focused on mentoring early stage companies and leading fundraising through Chairman and Board Director roles.
From 2006 to 2010 he was President and CEO of MMIC Solutions, a venture funded company focused on commercialising the mmwave frequency bands. He was a founder and CEO at SiConnect Ltd, a powerline networking company, and before that President and CEO at picoChip in Bath (UK), a cellular femtocell company. From 1990 to 2002 he lived in the US holding senior management positions with Texas Instruments, Philips Semiconductors and latterly with LogicVision Inc a Design Automation Software company including their $47M IPO in 2000. Rodger has a PhD. in Device Physics and a BSc. in Electronics & Applied Physics from the University of Durham (UK).

Rob has worked in the Semiconductor and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) industries for more than 30 years in a variety of engineering and business roles. Most recently he was CEO, investor and founder of IN2FAB Technology. Prior to IN2FAB Rob was Vice President of Sales & Services at Cadence Design Systems, Japan Division, managing the business and resources for one of Cadence's four reporting divisions. Other sales and sales management positions include: Cadence Europe and USA where Rob received a number of achievement awards; and Daisy Systems, later acquired by Intergraph in 1990 and now part of Mentor Graphics Corporation. Rob's career in semiconductors began with Texas Instruments, UK, as a linear engineer in 1985 and progressed through marketing into sales.
Rob has an Honours Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK

Dr Christopher Yates: VP of Software Engineering

Chris has over 20 years of experience of research, statistical analyses, software development and mathematical optimisation techniques. From 1993 to 2003 he was a Research Fellow at The University of Reading where he also undertook a PhD in mathematical science to accompany his BSc in mathematics and Statistics from Bath University and MSc in applied statistics from Sheffield Hallam University.
Whilst at Reading Chris developed an international reputation for innovation in developing new mathematical techniques for mathematical modelling and providing solutions to unsolved problems. In 1997 he won the prestigious Goodeve Medal for research using mathematical optimisation from the Operations Research Society.
From 2003 until 2013 he has been a freelance consultant and has helped develop software for many purposes including a nationally published index of land valuations, a 3D mapping tool for geologists and a management revenue system for the YHA as well as many statistical and mathematical modelling projects.

Stefano Betti: EMEA Sales Director

Stefano has a background in EDA and semiconductor technology. He has a degree in Electronics from Genoa University. He started his career as an engineer in industrial design and moved to Mentor Graphics as an Applications Engineer supporting EDA technology and solutions.
Stefano held sales management positions at both Mentor Graphics and Cadence promoting EDA and Design Services. He has held the position as the Southern Europe sales manager at Avant!, which was later acquired by Synopsy and later at Tensilica, acquired by Cadence. He has also held sales manager positions at Elektrobit promoting Autostar technologies, Electrobit was later acquired by Continental. Since 2011, he has held the position of EMEA and India Sales Director at Sonics, NoC Interconnect technology. Stefano has closed several multi-million contract with major semiconductor companies in Europe.
