Technical Project Manager

   

Flexible hours and location (within Europe) – permanent or contract

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to become a member of our world-class analog design team providing high performance analog and mixed mode circuits in the area of cellular/mobile and power management applications.

Core Job Functions:

  • Formulate and manage overall project plans – work with core team to define specifications, deliverables, key milestones and critical path activities
  • Regularly monitor project progress/status
  • Engage in on-going risk management to ensure that projects are delivered according to expected content, quality, costs and schedules
  • Liaison between Engineering Team and Customer
  • Work with the team to develop a sensible project delivery plan in line with the cost and revenue budget
  • Must be able to quickly identify issues facing the delivery team and come up with solutions to address these
  • Provide guidance to junior team members
  • Ongoing maintenance of overall project schedules
  • Identify and resolve project related issues and barriers to success and working with the team to resolve
  • Ensure all the Senior Management Team are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates
  • Ensure successful project closure

Key Skills and Experience:

  • BSc or MSc or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
  • Excellent understanding of semiconductor IC Design Flow
  • A minimum of five years’ relevant technical management experience within a fast-paced technology environment is essential
  • Customer liaison experience
  • Ability to understand and relay the needs and concerns to the team and the customer
  • Excellent people motivational skills are required as well as the ability to interface with all levels within the company
  • You will be a strong team player, able to operate as both an individual and team member
  • You will participate in multi-site developments across different time zones and cultures requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Formal training or experience in project management methodologies
  • First-hand experience in IC design or layout

Principal EDA Engineer

   

Flexible locations in Europe or India

We are looking for an experienced EDA Engineer to become a member of our world-class analog design team in providing high performance analog and mixed mode circuits in the area of Cellular/Mobile and Power management applications.

Core Job Functions

  • You will define and develop design framework and proprietary methodology for efficient analog IP reuse and analysis
  • You will be developing interfaces, software and utilities within the Cadence framework by leveraging Cadence SKILL®, Perl and other scripting languages
  • You will be designing and developing automation software and utilities targeting IP layout and circuit design
  • You will be actively involved in the development of Thalia proprietary Amalia™ migration software addressing analog IP reuse
  • You will be supporting customer engagements, debugging, installation and qualification of Thalia’s software on customer’s machines
  • Support of Linux system infrastructure including hardware, operating systems and services.
  • Document own work and participate in design reviews
  • Provide guidance to junior team members

Key Skills and Experience

  • BSc or MSc or equivalent in Electronic Engineering,
  • Strong commercial experience in IC Design methodology
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in designing and developing tools, software and utilities within the Cadence Virtuoso environment
  • An excellent understanding of Analog IC layout in deep sub-micron CMOS technology.
  • Experience of design methodology and toolsets required for analog and RF circuit design and IC layout.
  • You will be a strong team player, able to operate as both an innovator and an implementer
  • You will participate in multi-site developments across different time zones and cultures requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be experienced in the Cadence design flow including Virtuoso, analog design environment and industry standard simulators
  • Must have a proven track record of developing software and utilities using Cadence SKILL® and Perl and other programming and scripting languages

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • A strong analytical approach is desired with a clear track record of success and delivery
  • Experience with advanced circuit simulation tools and EM simulation tools is a benefit
